NI: Carson McDowell announces partnership with Cancer Fund for Children
Belfast-based Carson McDowell has announced a year-long partnership with local charity Cancer Fund for Children.
The firm will organise fundraising events throughout the year to support the charity’s work providing practical and emotional support, as well as free therapeutic short breaks to children with cancer, children living with a parent diagnosed with cancer, and their families.
Jacqueline McAleese, partner and head of Carson McDowell’s charity committee, said: “We are thrilled to be supporting Cancer Fund for Children this year and hope that funds raised and support provided by Carson McDowell staff will make a real difference to the lives of local children. We have some great charitable events planned for 2019/2020 so watch this space.”
Sarah Clements, corporate fundraiser at Cancer Fund for Children, added: “We are delighted to be partnering with Carson McDowell and we look forward to an exciting year ahead.
“As a local charity, we receive less than 0.5% of our funding from the government so we quite simply cannot provide essential services without the support of the local community and businesses like Carson McDowell. Their support will help us continue to connect, empower and strengthen local young people and families who are struggling to cope with the devastating impact of a cancer diagnosis.”
