Mr Breen was best known as principal solicitor at McDonough & Breen Solicitors, where his son Niall also works as a solicitor.

McDonough & Breen Solicitors, founded as McMahon & Russell Solicitors in 1857, has been based at Distillery House since 2004.

Mr Breen is survived by wife Mary (née O’Malley); children Niall, Cliodhna, Mollie, Lucy, Jack and Harry; father Patrick; and siblings Miriam Meagher, Susan Moore, Gerard, Paul and David as well as brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
