  • Arthur Cox advises on global pharmaceutical merger

Arthur Cox partnered with US firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz and UK firm Macfarlanes to advise Jazz Pharmaceuticals plc on its agreement to acquire GW Pharmaceuticals plc.

On completion, the combined company will be a global biopharma leader with enhanced product diversification expected to provide accelerated double-digit revenue growth.

The Arthur Cox team was led by Michael Coyle and Stephen Ranalow in the corporate and M&A department, and Fintan Clancy in the tax department.

They were supported by corporate and M&A lawyers Kylie Dollard, Niamh O’Toole, Sinéad McDonagh and Andrew Hughes, and tax lawyers Elaine Mooney and Dearbhla Ní Fhloinn.

  • LK Shields advises Ranridge Holdings on latest acquisition

LK Shields has advised Ranridge Holdings Limited on its recent acquisition of consulting engineering firm Don O’Malley & Partners Limited.

Don O’Malley & Partners Limited was established in 1967, is based in Limerick and specialises in mechanical and electrical building services engineering.

Randridge Holdings Limited is a member of the Randridge group of companies headquartered in Bray, Wicklow, Ireland. The group provides whole of life cycle electrical and instrumentation engineering services to both Irish and international clients across the energy, power, process, manufacturing, infrastructure and life science industries.

Partner Richard Curran led the LK Shields team with support from corporate lawyers Paul Dineen, Sinead Byrne and Seanna Mulrean; employment lawyer Jennifer O’Neill; pensions and employee benefits lawyer Gillian Dully; property lawyer Elaine O’Connor; and IP and data protection lawyer Jane O’Grady.

  • A&L Goodbody advises Iberdrola SA on wind project acquisition

A&L Goodbody has worked alongside international law firm Clifford Chance to advise Iberdrola SA on its acquisition of a majority stake in a portfolio of proposed offshore wind projects in Ireland.

Under the deal, Iberdrola has acquired a majority stake from DP Energy in an offshore wind portfolio with a total capacity of 3 gigawatts.

The ALG team involved specialists across the firm’s offshore wing team, including energy partner John Dallas, corporate partner Richard Grey and offshore consenting partner Alan Roberts.

  • ByrneWallace advises Corporate Access on private equity acquisition

ByrneWallace LLP has advised the shareholders of the Corporate Access Legal Services Group on its acquisition by the Phenna Group, a UK private equity firm.

The Corporate Access Legal Services Group is a law searching services business based in Ireland, with offices in both Waterford and Dublin. It has steadily grown since its establishment in 1995.

A ByrneWallace team including corporate partner Gerry Beausang and corporate associate Conor Moran advised the selling shareholders on all legal aspects of the transaction.

  • Philip Lee advises JSM Group on investment from private equity investor

Commercial law firm Philip Lee has advised UK-based JSM Group on an inward investment by private equity firm Rutland Partners.

JSM is an infrastructure services provider to the UK’s critical digital communications and power sectors, with a strong presence in greater London and the south-east of England.

Philip Lee corporate partner Andrew Tzialli advised JSM on the investment.
