NI: Donaldson Legal Consulting partners with international law firm
Donaldson Legal Consulting (DLC) has partnered with international law firm Fieldfisher to provide services worldwide, The Irish News reports.
The Holywood-based company was established by solicitor Alison Donaldson in 2005 to provide legal support to in-house legal teams in financial institutions, corporations and asset managers.
Before starting the firm, Ms Donaldson had worked in the legal teams at Credit Suisse Financial Products and Warburg Dillon Read and as Merrill Lynch’s head of legal for South East Asia.
The firms have already partnered on specific client work through Fieldfisher’s Condor Alternative Legal Solutions platform.
Guy Usher, head of the derivatives group at Fieldfisher, told The Irish News: “This strategic tie up with Alison’s business makes perfect sense. It enables us to go to market with yet another service offering for clients. It also gives the firm a new base from which to develop a centre for providing lower cost legal and documentation resources on work and projects generated by the Fieldfisher network.”
Ms Donaldson added: “Fieldfisher has market leading practices in many of the world’s most dynamic sectors, with a reputation as a forward-thinking organisation with a particular focus on technology, finance and financial services, energy and natural resources, life sciences and media. Its network has more than 1,000 people working across 17 offices providing highly commercial advice based on an in-depth understanding of our clients’ needs.”
