Harry Cayton delivers McDowell Purcell lecture at UCD

Harry Cayton CBE, chief executive of the UK Professional Standards Authority, delivered the McDowell Purcell Distinguished Guest Lecture at UCD Sutherland School of Law on Thursday.

The lecture was one in a series which forms part of the new Professional Diploma in Professional Regulation which McDowell Purcell has partnered with UCD Sutherland School of Law to offer.

JP McDowell, partner at McDowell Purcell, told Irish Legal News: “McDowell Purcell were delighted to welcome Harry Cayton, Chief Executive of the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care in the UK to speak at the inaugural McDowell Purcell Distinguished Guest Lecture at UCD Sutherland School of Law.

“We are excited to be working in partnership with UCD Sutherland School of Law to deliver the Professional Diploma in Professional Regulation.

“This year’s diploma course concluded on a fantastic note last Thursday, with Harry Cayton addressing an engaged audience on the topic of ‘Professional Regulation in an Age of Anxiety’. The next professional diploma course will commence in January 2017.”
