Ireland’s first Chinese-born barrister, Fei Liang, will receive the prestigious Trinity Praeses Elit Award this week.

Ms Liang made history earlier this month when she was called to The Bar of Ireland. She moved to Ireland in 2008 and qualified as an accountant in 2014 before studying for the bar.

On Friday, she will receive the award and address TCD Law Society in a special Zoom event sponsored by Eversheds Sutherland.

More information about the event, which will take place on Friday 2 October, 1pm, is available from the registration page.
