The Law Society of Northern Ireland has named children’s cancer charity Clic Sargent as its chosen charity of the year for 2016.

John Guerin, president of the Law Society, met with Nadine Campbell, fundraising manager for Clic Sargent, at the launch of the new charity partnership.

Mr Guerin said: “Clic Sargent is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, and their families. They provide clinical, practical, financial and emotional support to help them cope with cancer and get the most out of life.

“I am delighted as President of the Law Society that we will have an opportunity to work with Clic Sargent by supporting them in their various projects through awareness and fund raising initiatives.”

Arleen Elliott, former president of the Law Society, selected Belfast charity TinyLife as its chosen charity of the year for 2015.
