Mary Robinson to speak at FLAC 50th anniversary celebrations
Former president Mary Robinson will reflect on her long history with FLAC at the legal rights group’s 50th anniversary celebrations on Friday.
The special event, incorporating the Annual Dave Ellis Memorial, will look back at FLAC throughout the decades and thank all those who have helped to improve access to justice over half a century.
Mrs Robinson will appeal in conversation with journalist Doireann Ní Bhriain, reflecting on her career-long commitment to human rights.
She will also be joined over the course of the event by David Byrne, Eamonn Conlon, Ms Justice Iseult O’Malley, Siobhan Phelan SC, Mel Cousins, Grainne O’Hara, Noeline Blackwell, Walter Walsh and Gerry Whyte.
