Mason Hayes & Curran will create 75 jobs in 2015

Leading business law firm Mason Hayes & Curran has announced it will have created 75 new jobs by the end of 2015.

The Dublin-based firm, which currently employs 410 staff including 77 partners, said it will have recruited 75 people for a variety of roles - from lawyers to professional support staff - by the end of 2015. The firm hired 64 new staff in 2014.

Declan Black, Mason Hayes & Curran’s managing partner, said: “We are obviously pleased to be busy and growing. Clients need well-resourced law firms to deliver quality advice and service at the speed that business operates. Our recruitment initiatives are designed to meet, and indeed anticipate, that client need.

“The contribution of the professional services sector in Ireland to employment and growth can sometimes be overlooked. The sector provides a major direct contribution to the economy and is also highly influential in supporting foreign investment by complementing the State’s initiatives and providing a sophisticated level of service to international corporates which is on a par with anything they experience in their home jurisdictions.”

He added: “The growth of Mason Hayes & Curran is reflective of both the upturn in the economy and our ethic of providing consistently excellent and clear advice and doing so quickly.”

Richard Bruton, government minister for jobs, enterprise and innovation, welcomed the announcement as he attended the firm’s seminar on the new Workplace Relations Commission.

Mr Bruton said: “Today’s announcement by Mason Hayes & Curran that the firm is recruiting 75 extra staff during 2015 is very welcome.

“I wish Declan and his colleagues continued success for the future.”
