Six new partners have been appointed at Matheson, the Dublin-based law firm announced today.

Of the appointments, there are two women - Michelle Ridge in asset management and investment funds, and Sally Anne Stone in commercial real estate.

Ms Ridge was educated at University College Dublin and has extensive experience in advising domestic and international clients on the structuring, establishment, marketing and sale of investment vehicles and products in Ireland and other jurisdictions.

Ms Stone has experience in a range of commercial real estate matters, including large scale acquisitions, portfolio acquisitions and disposals (assets and loans) and commercial landlord and tenant matters.

The four men are Niall Pelly in employment, Andreas Carney in technology and commercial contracts, Rory McPhillips in aviation finance, and Oisin McClenaghan in asset management and investment funds.

Prior to joining Matheson, Mr Perry worked for a number of years in London with globally recognised US-firm McDermott Will & Emery, and latterly with Herbert Smith Freehills.

Mr Carney regularly speaks and publishes on topics including data protection and IT, and is a committee member of the Ireland Group of the Society of Computers and Law.

Mr McPhilips practises principally in the areas of corporate banking, asset and project finance. He has advised public and private sector organisations, banks, equity investors, aircraft lessors and airlines on a range of financing and leasing transactions.

Mr McClenaghan is a member of Irish Funds Legal and Regulatory Working Group and contributes to industry publications, including Finance Dublin and the Commercial Law Practitioner, industry consultations, both on behalf of Matheson and Irish Funds.

He lectures on the Legal and Regulatory Aspects of Investment Funds, a module on The Institute of Banking Professional Certificate in Investment Fund Services course.
