Matheson welcomes announcement of finalists for female business award

Finalists for the 2017 Women Mean Business (WMB) Female Entrepreneur of the Year Award, sponsored by Matheson, have been named.

The winner is set to be named at an awards ceremony in Dublin on 2 October, which will be opened by Tánaiste Frances Fitzgerald.

Dedicated to highlighting the work of both Irish and international businesswomen and female entrepreneurs, the awards honour some of Ireland’s most inspiring female business leaders and role models.

The finalists for the Entrepreneur of the Year Award are:

  • Sinead Doherty, Founder & CEO, Fenero
  • Ciara Donlon, Founder & CEO, THEYA Healthcare
  • Sinead Fitzmaurice, Co-founder, TransferMate
  • Geraldine Gibson, Founder & CEO, AQMetrics
  • Aoife Lawler and Niamh Sherwin Barry, Co-founders, The Irish Fairy Door Company
  • Charlotte Temple, Retail & Design Director, Magee 1866
  • Welcoming the announcement, Liz Grace, partner at Matheson and recently appointed WMB Ambassador for Gender Diversity 2017, said: “I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all of the finalists in this year’s WMB awards, and especially those within the entrepreneur category, on what is a fantastic achievement.
