Mercy Law Resource Centre (MLRC), which provides free legal advice to homeless people, has welcomed law student Louis O’Carroll as a legal intern.

Mr O’Carroll, a student at Trinity College Dublin and winner of this year’s Trinity FLAC moot competition, is due to commence his final year of study this month.

The appointment comes shortly after the appointment of solicitor Sinead McGarrigle to MLRC’s legal team in July and volunteer solicitor Aoife Gillespie in June, and follows Trinity graduate Ceara Tonna-Barthet joining as a legal intern for July.

The Chief Justice, Mr Justice Frank Clarke, is due to launch the law centre’s 2018 annual report in Dublin on Monday 16 September.
