Moya Quinlan
A full obituary of solicitor Moya Quinlan, the first woman to be elected president of the Law Society of Ireland, has been published by The Irish Times.
Ms Quinlan passed away last Tuesday at the age of 99.
She qualified as a solicitor in 1946 and served as president in 1980/81.
It took over two decades before a woman was elected president of the Law Society again.
Her funeral took place on Friday at 10am at St Patrick’s Church in Monkstown.
