Ms Justice Teresa Pilkington to be elevated to Court of Appeal

Ms Justice Teresa Pilkington has been nominated for appointment as an ordinary judge of the Court of Appeal.

She has served as a High Court judge since 2018, having previously practised as a barrister in civil law cases.

A graduate of University College Dublin, she was called to the Bar in 1986 and became senior counsel in 2012.

Ministers agreed yesterday to nominate her to fill the vacancy arising from the retirement of Mr Justice Brian McGovern in March after a 14-year judicial career.
