NI: Northern Ireland Legal Quarterly calls for papers

To mark the 25th year of the Human Rights Centre at Queen’s University Belfast, the Northern Ireland Legal Quarterly invites submissions for a special issue to be published in Autumn 2016 on the theme of Human Rights & Education.

Submissions which explore the theme from different perspectives are to be welcomed. Although not intended to be prescriptive, suggested topics include:

  • educating lawyers about human rights;
  • educating business about human rights;
  • educating the public about human rights;
  • the right to education in occupied societies;
  • the right to education in divided societies
  • Submissions should be made initially in the form of an abstract of no more than 300 words to be co-editors of this special edition: Professor Brice Dickson (b.dickson@qub.ac.uk) and Mr Conor McCormick (cmccormick15@qub.ac.uk).

    Abstracts must be received by 11 January 2016. After provisional selections based on abstract submissions are made, full papers between 8,000–10,000 words will be due by 30 April 2016. Provisional selections will then be peer reviewed by 31 May 2016, with final articles accepted for publication due absolutely no later than 26 August 2016.
