International law firm Pinsent Masons has announced the appointment of Gayle Bowen as the inaugural head of its Dublin office.

The Dublin office at 1 Windmill Lane, SOBO officially opened its doors in March with a team of four partners initially focused on advising clients in the technology and financial services sectors.

Ms Bowen is an investment funds specialist educated at Oxford University and University College Dublin.

She is the outgoing chair of the legal and regulatory committee of Irish Funds and currently sits on its Brexit steering group.

John Cleland, managing partner at Pinsent Masons, said: “Gayle joined our business with an outstanding reputation and I am delighted to announce her appointment.

“We have an excellent team of partners and lawyers in Dublin and in just over a year since entering the market they have already made a considerable impact. Our determination to bring a different approach into Irish legal services is being realised, with clients already seeing the benefits of our focus on innovation. I know she will be an excellent leader for our Dublin team.”

Ms Bowen added: “I am proud to be the first head of office for Pinsent Masons in Dublin and excited to lead the team in delivering market-leading legal services. Our specialist sector expertise coupled with our global reach across 24 international offices, gives us tremendous strength to support the ambitions of our clients wherever they operate.

“As well as innovative servicing, we are bringing something new to the market for legal professionals. For example, as one of the first law firms in Dublin to operate on an agile basis, we are focused on a new way of working. This means we can attract the best talent with a responsible approach to diversity, firm culture and work-life balance.”
