Solicitor charged over alleged €268,000 property registration fraud

A solicitor has appeared in court in connection with an alleged €268,000 property registration fraud.

Herbert Kilcline, a sole practitioner in Rathmines, denies eight offences relating to two Dublin properties, dating from between September 2016 and June 2018.

The Irish Independent reports that Mr Kilcline is accused of fraudulently procuring the entry of two companies as full owner with absolute title to the properties and using false conveyancing documents.

He faces trial on indictment before Dublin District Court alongside co-accused Matthew Murphy, an accountant. Both have been remanded on bail until 18 June 2021.
