US firm Tully Rinckey opens Dublin office
US law firm Tully Rinckey has opened its first European office in Dublin as part of a five-year plan for international expansion.
The firm, headquartered in Albany, New York, originally announced the move in March 2017 as part of a $15 million investment package.
IDA Ireland has supported the firm’s investment in Ireland, which will include the eventual opening of further offices in Galway, Cork and Limerick, The Irish Times reports.
Attorney Matthew Tully, a founding member of Tully Rinckey, said in March 2017 that the “future of the legal profession for us is overseas”.
He said the firm was planning to “create these five-, 10-attorney offices in these foreign countries and do some of the work there but most of the heavy lifting will be farmed back to Buffalo, Syracuse, and Albany”.
Tully Rickney already represents several Irish businesses that have operations in Albany and hopes to attract others with an eye on the US.
