William Fry appoints four new partners across corporate, tax and real estate teams

William Fry has announced the appointment of Carol Eager, Rachel Fox, Declan Lavelle and Conor Treacy as partners across the firm’s corporate/M&A, tax and real estate departments.

The appointments follow a period of growth for the firm, which now employs almost 500 legal and tax professionals at offices in Dublin, London, New York, San Francisco and Silicon Valley.

Ms Eager, who has been appointed as a partner in the corporate/M&A team, focuses her practice on advising both public and private companies, investment houses and venture capital organisations on a range of corporate law issues, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, private equity and venture capital investments and corporate governance.

Ms Fox, tax partner, is a solicitor and chartered tax advisor with extensive experience advising clients on mergers & acquisitions, capital market transactions and corporate reorganisations. She is an active member of William Fry’s foreign direct investment (FDI) team providing advice to international clients establishing in Ireland, IP structuring and cross-border tax planning.

Mr Lavelle, also appointed in the tax team, specialises in corporate & international tax matters. He advises multinational and domestic clients on a variety of tax issues including international tax planning, optimising IP and financing structures, transfer pricing, mergers and acquisitions and other related tax matters.

Mr Treacy has been appointed as a partner in the real estate department. His clients include international retailers, private equity firms, institutional investors and state bodies. Conor advises on a wide range of property related matters including portfolio management and strategy. He regularly acts for parties in funding, leasing, acquisitions and disposals of commercial property. He is also particularly experienced in advising on the real estate aspects of corporate transactions.
