A&L Goodbody ranked number one in M&A by deal volume
A&L Goodbody has been ranked Ireland’s number one law firm for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) by deal volume in 2016, after advising on more M&A deals in 2016 than any other firm.
Its leading role in Ireland’s M&A market has been recognised by international publications Thomson Reuters, Bloomberg, Mergermarket and Experian Corpfin.
The range of transactions that the firm advised on included acting for Verizon on its acquisition of Fleetmatics, Johnson Controls on its merger with Tyco, Dalata Hotel Group on a number of transactions, and ABP Food Group on its joint venture with Slaney Foods.
Mark Ward, head of M&A at A&L Goodbody, said: “We had another very busy year in 2016 acting on a large number of domestic and international transactions, bucking the overall trend in the Irish market and increasing our market share.
“This ranking is yet another strong endorsement of our domestic and international reputation as Ireland’s leading M&A legal advisor and reflects our commitment to provide our clients with the highest quality advice and service.”
