Alex White SC appointed to National Paediatric Hospital Development Board
Alex White SC has been appointed to the National Paediatric Hospital Development Board for a five-year term.
The board is responsible for overseeing the building of the new national children’s hospital in Dublin, which is due to be completed in 2024.
Mr White, who was called to the Bar in 1987 and became senior counsel in 2010, has a general civil law practice with a specialism in employment law, representing individual, public, and corporate clients before the courts and administrative tribunals.
He is an accredited mediator and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Mr White is also a former minister of state in the Department of Health with responsibility for primary care. He was subsequently minister for communications, energy and natural resources, where he dealt with infrastructural challenges including the National Broadband Plan, the launch of eircode, and the development of renewable energy policy.
He was a programme producer with RTÉ for 10 years prior to taking up practice at the bar.
