An Bord Pleanála report now in hands of housing minister
A senior counsel’s report on allegations concerning a former member of An Bord Pleanála has been presented to ministers.
Remy Farrell SC was appointed in April to examine the issue after a series of reports published by website The Ditch accused the board’s then deputy chairperson, Paul Hyde, of conflicts of interest.
Mr Hyde denies any wrongdoing. He resigned from the board last month.
Mr Farrell’s report, produced with the assistance of Chris Mills BL, is now in the hands of housing minister Darragh O’Brien and attorney general Paul Gallagher SC, The Irish Times reports.
A spokesperson for the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage said the minister “will now consider the report and its recommendations”.
