And finally… ass kicked
Scottish comic book writer Mark Millar, whose Kick-Ass series spawned two Hollywood movies, has finally fought off years-long litigation based on outlandish allegations of plagiarism.
American writer Michael Bennett claimed that Mr Millar plagiarised large elements of his own virtually-unknown series, Owl, which he had sent to Marvel in 2008 and later self-published.
His bizarre allegations include that Mr Millar hacked his phone to spy on him and had continued to plagiarise content from him after the beginning of legal action, Bleeding Cool noted in 2016.
Mr Bennett brought court proceedings in the US claiming £930 million in damages, but they finally came to an end this week when they were thrown out by the Supreme Court, The Times reports.
