Cameron Jeffrey Wilson, 27, is believed to have been carrying a pistol in his front jeans pocket when it accidentally discharged, sending a bullet through his testicles and into his thigh.

While doctors in the city of Wenatchee in Washington, USA performed surgery on him, a balloon of marijuana allegedly slipped out of his anus.

Police searched Mr Wilson’s car and allegedly found a bag of methamphetamine in his blood-soaked jeans.

An arrest warrant was issued for Mr Wilson, who has 13 previous convictions, on suspicion of second-degree felon in possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of meth.

However, his legal problems did not end there, The Wenatchee World reports.

When Mr Wilson handed himself into police nearly two weeks after the accidental shooting, he was strip searched and another balloon of marijuana allegedly slipped out of his anus.

He was arrested on an additional charge of possession of a controlled substance in a correctional facility.

He then allegedly phoned his girlfriend from jail and urged her not to co-operate with their investigation, leading to an additional charge of four counts of tampering with a witness.
