And finally… bananas
A prestigious gallery inadvertently launched a protest movement after removing an artwork showing a young woman suggestively eating a banana.
The newly-installed head of the National Museum in Warsaw said the 1973 video is obscene and harmful to young people.
Its removal from the gallery inspired thousands of people to post their own banana photos on social media platforms.
A banana-eating protest took place outside the museum last night, CNN reports.
Sylwia Kowalczyk, a Polish photographer who lives and works in Scotland, said the authorities had engaged in censorship that “should not happen to any artist, male or female”.
