Riot police in Jambi, Indonesia have been filmed violently beating people protesting the country’s job creation law.

One officer began hitting a man in a green jacket, mistaking him for a protestor. Another undercover officer, wearing a hoodie, shouted Don’t hit him! That’s a police officer!”

He then began to trade blows with the officer before being separated.

Imam Badawi of the Jambi Students’ and People’s Alliance said: “We are student protesters, not criminals.”
