And finally… drunk dial
A pair of drunks allegedly preparing to rob a restaurant were caught after they accidentally dialled 911 while discussing their plans outside.
Worse yet, police chief Tony Gray was eating his dinner inside.
Gray was notified by dispatch after 911 operators listening to the call figured out the would-be robbers’ location based on keywords.
Gray and other officers then searched the restaurant’s parking lot until they found the pair, who were apprehended. One was carrying a mask.
Robert Bourne and David Grigsby have been charged with public intoxication and prosecutors have yet to decide if other charges will be filed based on the content of the 911 tape, LEX 18 reports.
Gray has voiced scepticism over whether the drunk men actually planned to go through with the robbery.
