And finally… DUI
Drone owners could land in jail for up to a year if they fly their drone while drunk under new laws.
Legislation passed by Japan’s parliament this week provides for prison sentences and fines of up to 300,000 yen (around £2,200) for those caught flying a drone while intoxicated.
The country’s transport ministry said operating a drone while drunk is “as serious as drunk driving”.
The new law also introduces fines for pilots who perform dangerous stunts with their drone, the BBC reports.
However, drone owners will still not be required to obtain a license.
