And finally… hard lines
A doctor who wrote fake prescriptions to get free viagra for the benefit of his extramarital affair could be struck off.
Dr Harsit Tejura, a consultant gynaecologist in Cardiff, Wales, risked his career to obtain 30 packs of viagra pills worth about £360, the BBC reports.
The 51-year-old could have bought the pills legally without a prescription, but not in the same volume.
The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS) has ruled that Dr Tejura has an “impaired” fitness to practise and will now consider what sanctions to impose on his registration.
He has already been fined £1,000 and given a community order after admitting fraud by false representation and theft at Cardiff Crown Court.
