A state-approved dating app has been released in Iran to stem the tide of divorces.
Hamdan, which means “companion” in Persian, claims to find matches “only for bachelors seeking permanent marriage” and just one wife.
Dating apps are popular in the country but, henceforth, only Hamdan will be legal. It is also illegal in Iran to have sexual relationships outside of marriage.
The head of the Tebyan Cultural Institute, which made the app, said family values are currently under threat by the Devil as well as Iran’s enemies.
