And finally… in Japan, no one can hear you scream
Visitors have been welcomed back to theme parks in Japan, but strictly banned from screaming on roller coasters.
As the country begins to emerge from coronavirus-related restrictions, a group of 30 theme park operators have issued guidance on safe opening.
The guidance recommends that visitors should wear masks at all times, and “refrain from vocalising loudly” on rides.
Staff are also banned from high-fiving visitors and performers in haunted houses are ordered to “maintain a healthy distance from their victims”.
The guidance from East and West Japan Theme Park Associations added: “These guidelines will not bring infections to zero, but will reduce the risk of infection.”
