And finally... jury's out

Ludacris' 2000 album Back for the First Time

Rapper Ludacris narrowly avoided being recognised after being summoned for jury service in his home town of Atlanta, Georgia.

In a video posted to Instagram, the three-time Grammy Award-winning rapper and actor shows off his cunning disguise of a mask, sunglasses and hood as he walks out of the courthouse.

Walking alongside another rejected juror, he expresses disappointment at not being chosen to carry out his “civic duty” and then makes a comment about nobody knowing who he was.

The other juror, a woman, immediately turns to him and asks: “You Ludacris?”

After she says he “looks like Ludacris”, he laughs off the suggestion and says: “I wish. I wouldn’t be here, I tell you that.”

She then tells him that Ludacris is from Atlanta, Georgia, though then begins to doubt herself.

The video ends as he jokes: “I need a Ludacris lookalike contest so I can win me some money.”

Ludacris has said he is working on a new album, which will be his 10th since 1999 and his first since 2015.
