And finally… music for the masses
A McDonald’s restaurant beset with anti-social behaviour has turned to classical music in a novel bid to dispel youngsters.
A decision to play classical music in the evenings was taken after an incident where dozens of youngsters allegedly brawled, set off a fire extinguisher and threw signs and coins at staff.
Police issued dispersal orders in relation to the behaviour at the restaurant and elsewhere in the Welsh city of Wrexham, the BBC reports.
A spokesperson for McDonald’s said: “We are aware of anti-social behaviour affecting the wider area, and have introduced a number of measures in our Wrexham restaurant to support the police in tackling this issue.
“These include playing classical music from 17:00 GMT and turning off the Wi-Fi at certain points in the evening.”
