And finally… no way Jose
A grandmother exasperated with thieves stealing her garden hose for use in recreational drug-taking has left them a piece for free.
Julia McCall told news.com.au that she was baffled by strangers repeatedly slashing her garden hose and stealing small sections - until her son explained that “people take them for bongs”.
Ms McCall then took it on herself to fix a small section of hose to her garden fence, along with a note that read:
“Please don’t chop my hose again.
Help yourself to this bit for your bong.
Julia”
She explained that she “wouldn’t mind if they just took a bit off the end, but they cut it right in the middle”.
Ms McCall said she hoped the gesture kept the bong-makers happy, adding: “We all have to live with each other and if we ease it a little, so much the better.”
