And finally… not covered
A woman is suing an insurer after she contracted an STD in a car covered by its policy.
Missouri woman MO had a relationship with MB, the insured, in late 2017.
They made love in his 2014 Hyundai Genesis but MO alleged that MB had been diagnosed with anogenital human papillomavirus (HPV) and did not tell her.
The insurer, GEICO, found that MB had told MO “on three different occasions” about his condition. MO, who was diagnosed with HPV in 2018, seeks $1 million from GEICO.
GEICO said its policies do not cover the injuries as they have no connection to the “ownership, maintenance or covered use” of the car.
The case continues.
