And finally… note to self
A man who learned printing skills in prison as part of a rehabilitative programme later put his skills to work counterfeiting bank notes, according to police.
Bhupendra Singh Dhakat, a 35-year-old man from India’s Madhya Pradesh state, was found to have nearly 100 counterfeit notes when arrested on Saturday, The Siasat Daily reports.
Various materials including a colour printer, six ink bottles and specialist paper were also found in his home.
Police say Dhakat confessed to printing the counterfeit notes using skills acquired during a previous prison sentence through a vocational training programme aimed at helping prison leavers re-integrate into society.
He now faces a return to prison on charges of counterfeiting, as well as other unrelated serious offences.
