Officers were dispatched to 74-year-old Gary Van Ryswyk’s home in Florida after someone at the property phoned 911 and hung up, BuzzFeed News reports.

Mr Van Ryswyk allegedly told officers that he had attempted to surgically remove the testicles of a 53-year-old man he met on a “castration fetish” website.

A man who was “bleeding heavily” from the groin was taken to hospital – along with a “pink container which held two body parts that had recently been much closer to the victim”.

Police officers described the case in a Facebook post as “kinda nuts”.

Mr Van Ryswyk has been charged with practising medicine without a license resulting in bodily injury.
