And finally… our courage will pull us through
A couple has been fined for an outing they undertook – to catch pokémon.
Canadians Matthew Steeves and his wife spent the first moment they’d had together in months to steal away together for a game of Pokémon GO in the hopes of finding a Pikachu or two.
When they pulled into an empty church car park in Kingsville, Ontario, however, they were questioned by police and fined for falling foul of lockdown restrictions.
“I was in shock and my mind was blown. I was very angry. I couldn’t believe I was being given a $750 ticket for sitting in my van,” Steeves said.
“I don’t understand how being inside your vehicle is contributing to the spread of Covid.”
Mr Steeves plans to challenge the fine.
