Kyle Dustin Head, 24, was arrested after he called the police “in a disoriented state” Waynesboro Police Department said in a release.

Mr Head asked for rolling papers to be sent to him but the department dispatched two officers instead.

They found Mr Head in his pickup truck – which smelled strongly of marijuana. They found the drug in his ear, on his clothes and elsewhere in the car.

He admitted he had smoked the drug recently and was cited for misdemeanor marijuana possession.

This is not the first time pot smokers have called the authorities. In September Erin Klich, 36, called 911 to complain he had shorted her on a $75 bag of the drug.

In April last year Evelyn Hamilton, 37, told dispatchers the quality of her marijuana was poor.
