And finally… pay the piper
A woman who tried to board a plane wearing six kilograms of clothing to avoid a baggage fee has been fined.
Adriana Ocampo, a 19-year-old from Australia, filmed her attempted travel hack on a flight from Melbourne to Adelaide, the New York Post reports.
The teenager and her friend went through two rounds of putting on clothes from their bags until they were short of the weight limit.
Unfortunately, their efforts were for nothing as the airline staff insisted they still had to pay the $65 AUD excess baggage charge (around €40/£35).
The pair also had to endure mockery from other passengers and sit through the 80-minute flight in excessive layers of clothing.
Ms Ocampo said: “Everyone in [the boarding queue] was staring at us and laughing at us, it was kind of embarrassing. People were annoyed that we were holding the plane up.”
