And finally... roaming charges

A passenger plane was grounded for days after nearly 150 hamsters broke loose and began to roam the aircraft freely.

The animals escaped from the cargo hold during a commercial flight from Lisbon, Portugal to Ponta Delgada in the Azores last week, CBS News reports.

The 132 hamsters were part of a delivery intended for a pet shop, alongside ferrets and birds — which fortunately remained in their cages.

The damage to the hamsters’ cages was not noticed until the plane had landed.

Footage shared on social media appear to show the hamsters scurrying around the cargo hold and one being pulled out of a narrow gap in the plane’s mechanisms.

It took five days before all of the hamsters were accounted for and the plane was put back into service.
