And finally… smarty pants
A senior Brazilian politician was found with cash stuffed in his underpants when police raided his house in connection with the alleged theft of Covid-19 funds.
Senator Chico Rodrigues, an ally of President Jair Bolsonaro, resigned as the government’s deputy leader in the senate after the embarrassing incident.
Officers first found 10,000 reals (worth around €1,500) and $6,000 (around €5,100) in a safe in Mr Rodrigues’ house – and then noticed a bulge in the senator’s shorts.
A police report said they then found 15,000 reals (around €2,260) “inside his underwear, near his buttocks”. A further 18,150 reals (€2,700) was found in his underwear later.
Mr Rodrigues has been suspended as a senator pending the investigation, CNN reports.
