Stormy Lynn Parfait, 33, paid $5,000 in cash to cover bail for an inmate being held in a Louisiana prison on drug charges.

However, authorities became suspicious of the money’s alleged “strong odour of marijuana” and immediately searched her car.

Officers say they found nearly $40,000 in the car, along with 100 tablets and a food stamp card, ABC News reports.

A subsequent search of her home allegedly turned up hundreds of additional tablets, cannabis, cocaine and paraphernalia.

Parfait has been charged with multiple counts of possession with intent to distribute drugs, four counts of illegal use of a controlled drug in the presence of persons under 17, taking contraband to or into a correctional institution and other related charges.
