And finally… snoop dog
New York veterinarians are being flooded with stoned dogs which have eaten discarded cannabis following the legalisation of the drug.
Since the legalisation of recreational cannabis in 2021, vets in the city are seeing a huge increase in cases of confused canines in their clinics, according to The New York Times.
Dogs can become affected by the drug through the remnants of joints, second-hand smoke, or by eating gummies and marijuana-laced chocolate.
Recreational cannabis is now legal in 21 states, and the Pet Poison hotline has reported a 400 per cent increase in calls for help compared to six years ago.
Dogs have more cannabinoid receptors than human beings, which means even small quantities of the drug can affect them.
However, though the symptoms displayed by affect dogs can be alarming, vets say it is rarely a serious health risk to them.
