And finally… something fishy
Sandwich chain Subway is facing a lawsuit alleging that its tuna sandwich contains no traces of tuna.
Lanier Law Firm is bringing a class action lawsuit in the US state of California on behalf of thousands of people who have eaten Subway tuna sandwiches in the past three years.
“We tested the tuna in multiple sandwiches and found no tuna,” attorney Mark Lanier said. He added that the sandwiches “lack any trace of tuna as a component, let alone the main or predominant ingredient”.
Subway denies the claims and its UK arm says they use “100 per cent pole-and-line-caught skipjack tuna”, The Times reports.
