And finally… square eyes
Half of UK lawyers say legal TV dramas influenced their decision to enter the law, according to a new survey.
London-based commercial law firm EM Law surveyed 500 legal employees to understand what influence TV shows had on their career decision.
The most influential show — cited by 30 per cent of respondents — was US drama Suits, which starred Meghan Markle before her 2018 marriage to Prince Harry.
The next most influential show, cited by 22 per cent, was police procedural and courtroom drama Law & Order.
Asked whether the reality lived up to TV, 57 per cent said it did while 43 per cent said it didn’t.
Just under a third (30 per cent) said that, given the opportunity again, they would choose a career outside of the law.
