And finally… terrifying
Iraqi prank shows that terrified celebrities with fake suicide bombers and staged kidnappings have been taken off the air by regulators.
Talqat Tony (Tony’s Bullet) and Tanb Raslan (Raslan’s Shooting) went too far and were deemed to breach broadcast rules, the BBC reports.
Episodes of Raslan’s Shooting saw celebrities faint from fear and beg for their lives as they were subjected to fake Islamic State kidnappings.
The shows were broadcast on a TV channel funded by the anti-IS paramilitary al-Hashd al-Shaabi (PMF).
Prank shows are popular on Arab TV stations, particularly during Ramadan, but the Iraqi government stepped in amid complaints these shows were too cruel.
