And finally… yoga to be kidding me
Police called to the scene of a “ritual mass murder” earlier this week found that it was actually a yoga class in progress.
Dog walkers raised the alarm after peering into the window of a café in a small Lincolnshire village and seeing several people lying motionless on the floor surrounded by candles while their yoga teacher played a drum, the BBC reports.
They were practising a pose called shavasana, which literally means “corpse posture” in Sanskrit.
Five police cars were quickly despatched to the Seascape Cafe, part of the North Sea Observatory in Chapel St Leonards, where officers quickly established no crime had taken place.
A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “A call was made following concerns for the occupants of the North Sea Observatory, at Chapel St Leonards.
“Officers attended, we’re happy to report everyone was safe and well.”
