Andrew Magowan appointed to autism centre board

Solicitor Andrew Magowan has been appointed to the board of the Middletown Centre for Autism (MCA) in Northern Ireland.

Mr Magowan is from Northern Ireland but now lives and practises as a solicitor in London.

He is a client legal director with law firm The Legal Director, having previously been general counsel and company secretary of a number of businesses, including ASOS.com, Berry Bros & Rudd, Bristow Group and Alpha Group.

He is also chairperson of The Barons Court Project, a homelessness and mental health charity in London, and holds one other public appointment as an independent non-executive director of Northern Ireland’s Department of Health.

Mr Magowan is one of four new board members appointed to the MCA for a three-year term until 31 March 2027.

Education minister Paul Givan said: “I am pleased to make these new appointments to the board of the Middletown Centre for Autism.

“I am confident they will bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise and fresh perspective to the work of the board.”
