Arthur Cox picks Ailish Finnerty as next chair

Arthur Cox has named partner Ailish Finnerty as the firm’s next chair.
Ms Finnerty will take up the position on 31 March 2025, succeeding Orla O’Connor, who is completing her six-year term as chair.
A partner in the firm’s tax group and a member of the firm’s policy committee, Ms Finnerty specialises in corporate tax with a focus on tax planning for international clients. She trained with the firm before becoming a partner in 2008.
Commenting on the appointment, Ms O’Connor said: “I am delighted to congratulate Ailish on her appointment as chair of the firm.
“She is an exceptional leader, with a deep understanding of our clients’ needs and the evolving legal landscape. I have no doubt that she will guide the firm with integrity, vision, and dedication.
“It has been a great privilege to serve as chair, and I look forward to supporting Ailish in the role.”
